There is no doubt that Christ works through people to bring salvation to the world. He has sent the Holy Spirit to empower us with divine grace to receive the light of Christ that we may be the light of the world. Having received this light we are instructed by Christ to let our light so shine before men, that they may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven. Our primary good work is to love one another as Christ has loved us.
Parish Life saturated in the liturgical worship of the Church is filled with such good works.
In our modern times there is no question that people are far more likely to visit a website before they visit in person. A website gives a person an idea of what they will encounter and their experience on the web will either discourage or hopefully encourage them to come and see for themselves. Tragically many Orthodox parishes have a website that fails to connect the visitor with the beauty and life of the parish community. Our hope is to provide these parishes with the support and tools they need to
make this connection.
When a parish is able to effectively connect people to the life of its community not only are those seeking the faith encouraged to come and see but the faithful themselves are encouraged. When they are able to hear the stories of transformed lives and see the beauty of
parish life they will find deeper meaning and purpose in their offering of time, talent, and treasure.
